A friend and I had a conversation last week regarding my images. "Are there favorites?" she asked. You bet there are. With that question in mind, I'd like to share one favorite moment for each month of 2013. Check them out. Sometimes it was hard to choose between two, but I did my best to be honest about the ones I feel are truly my favorites.
It's been a while since I posted to the blog, but I've been busy. The holiday season brought with it a flurry of activity not only in family photos, but designing and creating Christmas greetings for clients! I've had loads of fun meeting new people and working on their projects. In between I've been shooting away, taking continuing education classes and practicing/perfecting my craft. My theory is you can never stop learning. I am learning about parts of my camera that I didn't even know existed. January Our new puppy, Lilah, joined us in January. February I attended a shelter adoption event at Plow and Hearth and met Clyde, a senior dog looking for his new family. He was adopted as a result of this day. March Our horse Roo was ready for winter to end. Me too. He was also ready for the carrots I had in my hand. April The celebration of the coming of new life is always something special. I had fun at a baby shower. May Our new granddaughter arrives. June A visit to the Steamtown Historic site with a group of photographer friends brought back my love of old trains. July Fireworks displays and long exposures -- you can't beat the combination. August A visit to Gifford Pinchot's Grey Towers Estate brought with it the opportunity for some fantastic photography. September I met some beautiful English Setters at DeCoverly Kennels. October This line of trees stopped me dead in my tracks while traveling a country road. We are blessed with beautiful colors in the Fall. November A misty, rainy, pre-winter's day and a shot of the Susquehanna River as it turns through the valley beneath the Marie Antoinette Overlook on scenic Route 6. December The magic of Christmas as seen through a child's eyes for the first time. You can't beat it.
