Project 52 - Week 43: Unusual

10/27/2017

There are a number of unusual, non-pet-related things I thought of this week that I could have photographed.  For instance, if I had my camera in my car, I could have taken a photo of every red light I hit while driving somewhere.  It is most UNUSUAL for me to get a green.  If I get two greens in a row, that's a banner day.

Instead, I thought of, and found, some UNUSUAL things in petdom.

How about an unusual angle of a horse peering out his window?
Picture
This is Zeppelin.  He belongs to a friend.  I happened to be at the barn and he stuck his head out the window to see who was there, and whether or not I had anything for him.  I didn't.  But he is very curious and stayed watching out his window for quite a bit, so I was able to get under him and capture this angle.  I think he is smiling.

He likes to get burdock in his forelock braid.  He was adorned with a few, but I took them out in post processing as they were distracting to the eye.  Zeppy is a classic Friesian.  I have known him since he was a tiny tyke, and he has a great personality.

I then thought about kitties that have unusual markings.

This is a shelter cat.  Sometimes you don't have a lot of time or great, controlled light to capture your photo, especially when the cats are in smaller cages in a large room.  While I missed a bit of ear in this shot, I still like the kitty's calm facial expression and unusual facial markings.

Finally, here is a photo of our UNUSUAL cat, Matty, with his new best friend.
Picture
This last photo was taken with my cell phone right after Matty tried to crawl inside the head of the skeleton.  He realized he could not fit, and resigned himself to sitting next to it.  Since Halloween is right around the corner, I thought this might be an appropriate way to end the blog this week.

If you'd like to see more UNUSUAL things, the blog circle is waiting.  Start with Linda of VP Shoots Photography serving  the Tampa Bay area.  Look for the links at the end of each blog to move forward until you find yourself right back here where you started.  Have a very spooky and unusual Halloween!

No dogs! That's quite unusual in itself. I like these a lot, especially the low angle from the horse. Well done.

Great images! Made me LOL about the green lights! :) My favorite is the horse out the window - great perspective there! Nice job!
